Montro

Marketplace for pre-owned luxury watches

Montro is a new marketplace for pre-owned luxury watches. Only respectable professional sellers can offer their stock on Montro. This way you can buy every watch while being sure it's 100% authentic, in a good condition and with a warranty.

For the marketplace, I designed vital parts like the home, search, listing and checkout page. I've also set up the design system so that we can grow the platform quickly while keeping the experience consistent.

Searching and exploring watches

Most visitors already know which watch they are looking for. They simply search for the brand and model as the starting point. Others are still exploring which watch they like. Our vision is that everyone can go to Montro and find their perfect watch. It doesn't matter if they are new to watches or a seasoned collector.

The people that know what they are looking for use the direct search field. The suggestions help them get started.

The brand and model cards help people that don't exactly know what to look for, or just want to browse.

The overview on top of the search results helps to narrow down the amount of results. In this example, the visitor just searched for just "Rolex".

Trustworthiness

Buying a luxury watch is not your everyday purchase. Doing this online comes with a healthy amount of doubt and questions. We are transparent and clear about who the seller is and what they stand for. We are also repeatedly showing a "Montro Guaranteed" banner to emphasise that everything is safe and that they are protected.

Montro sets itself apart by only allowing the most respectable sellers on the platform. We are proud of them and display them prominently with rich content.

The Montro guaranteed banner is being repeated across the platform to convey trust.

Illustrations

Many people like watches for the skill involved in making them. We want our platform's visitors to feel this same quality. We've included a set of custom designed detailed illustrations.

The illustrations I designed for the platform. They are used to convey the premium feeling of the platform.

Icons

To keep that premium feeling, we want to make sure all icons are rendered pixel-perfect. Because of this reason all the icons come in sizes, 16x16 and 24x24.

I created most of the icons. Every icon comes in 16x16 and 24x24.
